Davey Day Care is childcare provider in the Quinton Green area. We are split between two buildings; the under twos in the large Grade II Listed Farm house and the over twos in the Old Dairy barn conversion which is situated just across our car park. The location and site offers such fantastic opportunities to enrich your child's learning and education. We are surrounded by fields and farmland which we use to our full advantage by going for walks and visiting the horses who live in the field behind our Farm house.

 

Davey Day Care holds a 5 star food hygiene rating from the county council. Our food is provided by a company who specialise and only cater for under 5 year olds. This means all meals and snacks contain the right balance of vitamins and nutrients that our children require. All children have a hot meal at lunch and and a hot meal in the afternoon, so you don’t have to worry after a hard day’s work.

 

We strongly believe in seeing children as individuals. Our ethos is to work closely with and build meaningful relationships with families, by respecting that all children are different and they come to our setting with unique experiences of family, friends and their world, we are able to build upon this to support each child to make friends and build relationships at our setting. You as Parent/Carer are key in how we care for and work with your child.

 

We maintain warm and authentic interactions between parents/carers and children to enhance bonds and demonstrate that adults can be trusted and can be relied upon for a cuddle, comfort or play. We continue to support and enrich bonds with children at every stage of transition through life from babies, settling in, meal times, sleep routines, becoming a pre-schooler, beginning school etc.

 

Davey Day Care believe the key to the success of our setting, is the combination of an approach which values relationships and care with a keen focus also on qualifications, experience and professional practice. We use a computerised system. This system allows you as a parent/carer to log on with any smart device with your unique login and access all your child's information, including policies, contracts, your child's profile, any medication given, records of accidents etc. You can also contribute to your child's profile by making comments or sending a quick message.

 

Lisa, (Manager) and the team at the setting work closely together to ensure that the care and well-being of the children are kept at the centre of everything we do.  The whole team, appreciate and understand how significant the Early Years are in helping children to see themselves as capable and confident individuals.  Davey Day Care are committed to ensuring the physical, emotional environment and the interactions with children and families at the setting all support this.

 

Our Setting boasts several unique services to other providers in the area:

•Enriching environment and grounds with lots of natural educational value.

•We provide a hot meal in the afternoon for to enable parents a smooth and hassle free hand over.

•DDC hold a 5 star food hygiene rating with environmental health.

•DDC offer a variety of sessions which offers flexibility to hours. DDC do not just offer 8 to 6pm sessions.

•DDC are open 51 weeks per year.

•DDC offer term time only contracts

•DDC provide extended sessions 7.30 to 6pm

•DDC have the personal touch with families and children.  Families are welcomed into the setting and offered a friendship as well as excellent childcare.

•DDC offer lower ratio’s than the standard regulations to enable more one on one and better care provided.  Our ratios are 1 adult to 3 children under 2, 1 adult to 4 children ages 2 and 1 adult to 6 children between 3 and 4. The standards are 1:3 babies, 1:4 2’s, 1:8 pre-school.

•Currently, 97% of staff (this will increase) are first aid trained so they can all react to any accident or incident immediately.
