15 and 30 hour Funding

The doubling of free childcare to 30 hours is being rolled out by the Government across the country. But, it turns out, free may not mean entirely free...

So what is the free childcare deal?

Our focus, every day is the children and families we serve. The cost of living continues to be a challenge and we appreciate that childcare costs can be a source of worry. There is government support available, let us help you understand what the options are and how to get it.

Here’s our guide to funded hours and tax-free childcare: we hope you find it helpful.

Making it work for you – all year round
Just imagine the fun your child could have, learning and exploring for over 1,000 hours at our warm, welcoming nursery. How do you make the very best of that opportunity?

We want to make sure that families use their funding to its full potential, and this is why we stretch the universal and extended funding across 51 weeks instead of limiting it to the 38 weeks of term time. This enables families whose child is registered part time to access more of the funded hours than they would otherwise be able to if we used the restricted term-time structure.

If you’d like more information about how this system works, to find out more about Davey Day Care, or to book a nursery tour, have a chat with our friendly customer care team.

DDC offers a maximum of 9 hours funding per day.  Our sessions are listed on page 5 of the below brochure and there is a charge where the EYFS is not covered. The funding does not meet our hourly rate of delivering childcare to you, and does not include anything
outside of actual childcare, such as meals, consumables, extra-curricular activities etc.

Parents have the choice of paying for the lunch hour during funded sessions where the EYFS is not covered or collect their child for the period where the EYFS is not covered and return them afterwards.

External food is not allowed in nursery due to strict allergy requirements.  This is the only way in which we can deliver funding to our parents and remain sustainable.
